    Go Away, Greasy Hair

Sick of waking up to find your good night’s sleep also got you greasy hair? It’s certainly a common problem, one of which we have all experienced in the past! Not got time to jump in the shower? No problem! There are some ways you can get rid of all that greasy hair without washing.

    greasy hair

Here are some awesome tips for getting rid of greasy hair

    Use Dry Shampoo

The quickest way to get rid of your oily roots is to give them a quick spritz with some dry shampoo. You can buy various brands of this type of shampoo in your local supermarket or drugstore. The beauty of dry shampoo is that you don’t need to rinse it out with water. Simply spray onto your hair – remember to focus on the roots! – and then rub it in for a few minutes. Then you just need to brush it out with your regular hair brush. And there you have it; your hair will look a lot healthier and shinier without any traces of grease!

    Straighten Your Hair

When you straighten your hair, you will be adding a lot of heat to it, which can effectively dry out your hair. You can discover the best kinds of straighteners for your hair on sites like Simply straighten your hair, and you will find that your hair will appear a lot dryer when you’ve finished. Remember that you should always use heat protection spray, though, to prevent any damage.

    Use Products With Witch Hazel

When you are looking for new hair products, try and find ones that contain witch hazel. Witch hazel is a flower that has many different properties: 14 Uses for Witch Hazel. One of these great properties is that it acts as an astringent, which means it can help to close the pores on the skin. When you apply it to your hair, it will cause the pores of the scalp to close up, which prevents any grease or oil being secreted from the skin onto the hair.

    Egg-White Mask

One way to prevent greasy hair the first place is to better prep it while you are washing it. There is no better hair preparation than a good old hair mask. This is something you apply to the hair and leave it on for about half an hour before you wash it. It acts as a deep conditioner. Want to know what the best natural product is to use as a hair mask? Egg whites! Egg whites are very high in sulfur, which is great for getting rid of dandruff and excess oil from the hair. All you need to do is whisk up some egg whites and cover the hair with them. Then, after about 20-30 minutes, wash them out with your regular shampoo.

No one likes oily or greasy hair and, thankfully, it’s not something that you have to put up with for too long. These tips above can help you get perfect hair every day!

How to Style Makeup Vanity like the Stars

Ok ladies, I know we all have our opinions on the Kardashian’s – but I know we all agree on one thing – they sure know how to style their spaces.

If you’ve ever seen Kylie or Kim post pics of their bedrooms, makeup vanities, or walk-in closets, you’ve probably seen how luxurious and decadent they’ve made their personal spaces.I’m sure you’ve also drooled over the thought of getting ready every morning and feeling like a queen.
Well, we’re here to show you how you can create a space like this for yourself in your own home. With the following tips, tricks, and style ideas – you can create and have the next best thing in your own room. Watch out Kim…

    1. Your Space:

First thing’s first… you need to think about your space. How much space do you have, and where would be the best spot to put your makeup vanity?
If you have a walk-in closet with enough space, this is a great idea. If you have a corner of your room that isn’t being used, this works great too.
Even if you have a small room and limited space, we can show you how to optimize it and create a lavish and personal vanity space for yourself.
If you have a walk-in closet with shelves on one side, a convenient and adorable idea would be to place your vanity in between two shelves.
This creates some cozy privacy for your vanity and also offers more convenient storage. If you have a room with a large window, a great idea would be to put your vanity table in front of the mirror.
This also allows you to take advantage of natural daylight when doing your makeup.
If you have a small room, consider having a bedside table that could double as your vanity when you wake up! Find a small table that can fit a chair underneath, and voila! You’ve cleverly optimized your space.

    2. Your Vanity Table:

Now that you’ve decided on a space for your vanity, you need to find your vanity table! This will also depend on the space you have to work with – but here are some ideas:
    • Scour local antique markets, garage sales, second-hand stores and flea markets, try to find an inexpensive and unique table for yourself. Look for pieces that inspire you, reflect your personal style, and make you feel happy. You should feel like a queen when you sit in front of your vanity! If you find a piece that excites you, but it isn’t in the best shape, consider re-purposing it to fit your needs. Sometimes all pieces need is a fresh coat of paint and some TLC.
    • IKEA offers some great small tables for reasonable prices as well. This would be a good place to get a bedside table that doubles as a vanity if you are working with limited space. You can also find inexpensive but eye-catching chairs here too. I have a friend that found an IKEA bed shelf that she doubled as a low makeup vanity. It works perfectly for her!
    • If you want to get really creative and show-off your unique style, try re-purposing something that inspires you into your makeup vanity table. My great-grandmother passed down her sewing machine to me and I had it sitting in my basement for the longest time. So what I did was remove the sewing machine from the top, keep the base, and added a larger table-top. Now I have a beautiful vanity table with several drawers for storage that looks chic and antique, and also reminds me of my grandmother!

    3. Time To Decorate:

So – you have your table! Now it’s time to think about styling your vanity. This is the fun part… Here are a few ideas. Get creative and make it personal!
    • Mount a large full-length mirror behind your vanity to make your space look bigger.
    • Look for a beautiful antique serving tray to act as a spot to place your jars of brushes or whatever else you’d like. This can be found in antique markets too!
    • Add a small lamp/lamps to help you better apply your makeup at night.
    • Look for cute jars, boxes or compartments that will fit all your supplies and keep them organized. I have several different boxes in my vanity that hold everything from false eyelashes and eyelash glue to cotton swabs and q-tips.
    • Add your own personal touch! I have twinkle lights around my mirror and small dainty bowls that hold all my jewelry.
    • Consider adding some art to the surrounding wall, or add some shelves for things like nail polishes or any important items you may have, like a facial steamer or blow dryer/flat-iron.

Have fun! This part is where you get to pamper your space. Keep in mind that the whole point of a makeup vanity is to create a place for yourself that makes you happy every day, and makes you feel like the star you are!

How to Get Rid of Frizzy Hair

Mask with aloe vera and coconut this will make your hair soft and shiny. Rinse with cold water to open the follicles.
It may be due to several factors, from chemical processes, such as the hair dye, or the excessive use of hair dryer or straightener. That is why our hair tends to suffer the famous “frizz”, which increases when there is moisture. Find out in the following article some home remedies for frizzy hair. We have compiled a list of best flat iron 2017 that will not make your hair frizzy.
    Why Hair Becomes Frizzy?
The word frizzy is synonymous with dryness, or the lack of moisture and natural oils. The outer covering of the cuticle becomes “dry”, making the hair more porous, allowing the humidity of the air molecules from sticking together and swell. This is why people who live in places with a humid climate (or summer) are more likely to suffer from this problem.
However, it is good to know that there are ways to eliminate this problem since you cannot only blame the climate such as rain. It is essential to constantly take care of the health of hair. The home remedies are an excellent option since they are not addictive, do not use chemicals, or cheaper and have longer lasting results (although sometimes it may do later with respect to the effect that products are bought in stores).
    Home Remedies for Frizzy Hair
    • Apple cider vinegar:  It serves to soften and untangle the cuticle (outer covering) of the hair. You simply apply it over the freshly washed hair and comb it with a broad-brush bristles. Then, use your usual conditioner. When you rinse, use cold water as much as tolerated, to ensure that the cuticle to shrink and the hair appear more soft and shiny.
    • Olive oil and egg:  Mix in a bowl ¼ cup of olive oil with an egg. Apply it to the hair, leave on for 30 minutes and wash with moisturizing shampoo. Next, use your usual conditioner. Olive oil is an excellent emollient that helps to retain moisture, while the egg contains a natural amino acid (called L-cystine) that helps cells to build and repair tissues.
    • Honey:  This rinsing should be done after shampooing. You just have to mix a tablespoon of pure honey in a liter of water. Pour over already washed hair, while they are still damp. Use your regular conditioner. The honey is a natural moisturizer par excellence which attracts and holds water molecules that hydrates the hair.
    • Chamomile:  Put in two cups of boiling water, a tablespoon of chamomile flowers and let it rest for an hour. Add ¼ tsp of apple cider vinegar. Wash your hair with shampoo and then apply the tea (which will already have cooled or warmed). Use your regular conditioner.
    • Mayonnaise:  This hair mask is used once a week; it helps eliminate dryness and nourishes hair and scalp. It will also provide protein that will make your hair healthier. To prepare it, mix ¼ cup of mayonnaise with an egg. Applied to the hair, leave for half an hour covering them with a towel. Remove with shampoo and warm water, then use conditioner and finish with cold water.
    • Avocado and Banana:  Mash a banana and the pulp of an avocado. Mix well and apply on the hair. The banana is rich in antioxidants and minerals that help make healthier hair. The avocado      contains a lot of fatty acids that nourish them.
    • Aloe Vera and coconut:  Clean two Aloe Vera leaves and open them to extract the pulp. Put them in a bowl. Mix them with 3 tablespoons of coconut oil (you can also use olive oil). Applied to the hair and left to act for 30 minutes, placing a shower or film headphone. Washed with water and then use your usual products. Both ingredients are used to moisturize the hair, leaving them soft and shiny.
    •  Banana, olive oil and honey:  Wet your hair with warm water and wrap them with a towel. Mash two ripe bananas and add a tablespoon of honey and 5 drops of almond or olive oil. When you obtain a smooth paste, apply on hair, cover with a shower cap and leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse your hair well and wash as usual.
Tips to Prevent your Hair from Becoming Frizzy
    • For your “ponytail”: Wash your hair as usual and use a lot ‘of balm with coconut oil or castor oil. Rinse with cold water and combed with a comb with wide teeth. Use a rubber band to hold cloth tied hair, never an elastic un-coated pulling the hair. Melt your hair when they are dry.
    • Use an anti-frizz mask after washing your hair and before drying. Even if you do not need to rinse, do not leave it too long because it increases frizz.
    • After washing your hair, comb to the left, wait a few minutes and repeat in the opposite direction. Then combed as you normally do.
    • Used for dry products. Such as shampoo and conditioner.
    • Avoid using the plate and the hair dryer because the high temperatures can burn your hair.
    • Don’t keep touching your hair; you just have to comb them when they are wet or damp.
    • Never dry your hair with too much force of the towel because it will break the cuticles.

5 Homemade Gift Ideas Anyone Can Make

    homemade gift ideas, gift baskets

    Homemade Gift Ideas

Gift baskets are one of the universal presents that can be made personalized for anyone. However, unique and memorable gift baskets are usually themed to fit the tastes of the recipient. There are an endless number of gift basket themes that you can create, but if you need a little inspiration, here are five homemade gift basket ideas that anyone can make.

    Get Well Basket

If your recipient is in need of an immune system boost, create a basket full of vitamin C pills, tissues, homemade soup, tea, echinacea, and cough drops. If you’re looking to lift their spirits, include their favorite movie, a gag gift, or a funny book. You can also modify this basket to fit an allergy relief theme with allergy spray, wrap-around sunglasses, and a neti pot.

    Poker Night Basket

This gift basket is for the card game aficionado. In this basket, include a nice deck of playing cards, as well poker chips and a divided tray with various candies and snacks. In your divided tray, you may include popcorn, pretzels, nuts, and other hors d’oeuvres that your recipient will enjoy. This basket can also be modified for kids by creating a basket filled with board games, coloring books, and knick-knacks.

    Craft Basket

If you have friends who love to craft and consider themselves a DIY enthusiast, create the ultimate DIY basket that includes craft kits, stencils, paints, an apron, and a crafts book. To further boost creativity, place all the gifts on a wooden pallet instead of a basket. This will allow them to utilize the package for their crafting needs as well! If you find yourself running out of ideas, visit an online crafts store for discounted supplies and inspiration.

    Fishing Basket

A survival kit is the perfect homemade gift for any nature lover. For a snack gift basket, include themed foods like salmon jerky, gummy worms, and fish crackers. Also, supplement your gifts by constructing a gear kit with a rod and reel, fishing line, hooks, bait, lures, and long nose pliers. In place of a traditional basket, store all of the items in a bucket to complete the ocean theme.

    Beach Basket

With the imminence of summer in consideration, a beach basket is a vacation necessity. Construct a kids’ gift basket with shovels, sunglasses, a beach ball, and a sand castle building kit. Be sure to include sunscreen and towels as well! Using a sand pail for this gift basket allows them to re-purpose it for collecting seashells and digging in the sand.

    Decorate Your Basket

Gifting someone with a basket full of arbitrary items may take away from the personalizing of your present. To avoid generalizing your gift, decorate your basket, pail, or pallets with a dash of elegance and flair. Wrap them in clear cellophane wrap, add bows, and write a card.

    Personalized and Thoughtful

To ensure that your gift communicates warmth and effort; carefully consider the unique characteristics of your recipient and tailor the gift accordingly. Since gift baskets can be suitable for almost any occasion, you can adapt and modify these baskets in accordance with the event. Brainstorm your own ideas and for a thoughtfully memorable gift basket.
