Vintage
Well, you know how old people always praise ‘the good old’ days. That may be the case for many newly-weds since a lot of couples make their weddings vintage. The vintage trend is still alive and there is no surprise because there is a special romantic sense to it. The old cars, customs, family heirlooms within the décor. It’s all so nice and it gives their weddings that sweet vintage touch.

This trend is classic. Many couples opt for pure romance as the main ‘theme’ of their wedding. They have candlelit ceremonies, receptions with crystal chandeliers, long walk to the aisle, all so sweet, romantic and fairytale-like.
Modern
You have probably heard about weddings with DJs, disco balls, loudspeakers and dancing floors. That’s another popular trend nowadays. Some people don’t even bother planning their own wedding. They just want a good party and they hire a professional event planner to do the job. This trend is loved by the ‘free-spirited’ couples who like to break conventions. But soon enough, you’ll probably see more and more of these ‘modern’ weddings.
Cake as the focal point
A professional event planner by the name of Amber Karson claims that the trend of ‘the statement cake’ is going to be one of the most popular wedding trends in 2019. Dessert displays with an assortment of treats dominated the wedding scene in 2018 but more and more couples go back to having one large cake as the focal point of the ceremony. Actually, the big focal statement cake. Many consider the cake to be iconic regarding weddings.
Personalized place settings
This one is for couples who like smaller ceremonies. For all of you who are throwing smaller weddings, consider taking advantage of one of the most personalized trends on this list. Couples are replacing generic place cards with hand-written notes. Why? Well, they believe that writing a note at each place setting is a special touch to implement into the big day. Sweet, right?
