Reasons Your Next Holiday Should Be A Cruise

As the world reopens its doors, it has many of us looking to book a trip and travel to new countries once again. There are so many different types of holidays out there, it is down to you to find one that is right for you. If you are looking to see many places and make up for a lost time, you might be tempted to look into traveling. Traveling is great but is not always an option for everyone. Some people don’t cherish the idea of having to fit all their belongings into a backpack, to sleep in hostels, and to stress about getting from one place to another. Yet there is another way to travel that is a bit less stressful – a cruise. While cruising used to be thought of as a trip for older people, it is fast attracting a younger audience and the ships are becoming much more exciting, with things such as roller coasters, ice rinks, and west end style theatre shows onboard. If you have a holiday home somewhere, why not spend some time there and then take a cruise from this destination? This way you get the best of both worlds! If you aren’t yet sold, here are some top reasons that your next holiday should be a cruise…

You don’t have to worry about the traveling part

One of the most stressful things about going traveling is having to figure out how you are going to get from one place to another. Getting public transport such as buses and trains can be stressful enough, let alone when you have all of your belongings with you in a large backpack. With cruising, you go to sleep in one place, relax in a large and comfortable bed and wake up and you are in an entirely new city or country! You are left to relax without having to worry about the journey.

There is so much to do

When on a cruise there are so many things to do that you will be hard-pressed to get through everything! There are a host of different ships that you can choose from and it is important to look into the different cruise lines to find which ones you would prefer before you head. They are targeted at different people so depending on who you are going with and what you are wanting to do, this will have an impact. Take Virgin Voyages, for example, they are known for shaking up the cruising industry and have a club on board, brunches, and are aimed at a much younger market. Royal Caribbean has things such as a rollercoaster on board, MSC Cruises had Cirque du Soleil and P&O Cruises do cookery classes with celebrity chefs. On ships, you can learn to dance, head to the gym if you want some exercise, watch movies under the stars, and play a host of games. There really is something for everyone no matter what type of holiday you’re into.

You can make of it what you want

No matter if you are someone that loves to relax or someone that loves to get out and about and make the most of every moment, cruises allow you to do just that. You can spend your days relaxing around a pool in the sunshine or do the activities on board. When you dock, you can take the day at your own pace, leisurely wandering around the port you are at, or you can book an excursion that will enable you to see more of the beautiful sights near you. If you are a foodie you can dine in some of the most amazing restaurants around the world, you can go wine tasting in a vineyard, or tour a whisky distillery. Think carefully about the places the ship docks at when choosing your cruise and find somewhere that you really want to go to.

You are not so restricted with your luggage

One of the hardest things that people find with traveling is that they have to fit everything they need into one bag. When you head on a cruise you have 23kg of hold luggage and can also bring a bag with you on board. This means that you are much less restricted and can bring all your favorite outfits, shoes, and anything else that you might need for your trip. You can bring your laptop if you are looking to work while away, as well as a large camera and anything else that you might need. You will have someone to clean your room every day for you and can really make the most of a luxurious experience. You can unpack all your items and have them hanging up in your closet or drawers, with easy access whenever you might need it.

You get to see so many places in one trip

There is no other holiday wherein one week you can effortlessly visit France, Spain, Italy and Greece without a single care in the world. On a cruise, you can literally go from eating pastries outside the Eiffel tower to sipping sangria down a cobbled street in Barcelona and sailing the seas of Santorini within the space of a few days. It allows you to travel and get a real taste of so many countries. You can see places that you might only want to visit for a day and find ones that you want to come back to for a proper holiday. There is so much to see and do you truly are spoilt for choice when you are on a cruising holiday!
