Bra Fit Problems: How To Fix

Bra fit problems! We all experience this at some point. Finding the right bra for wearing with each clothing can be stressing at times. I came across a 34B bra after trying it on I came to realize that it was just not my fit. The under bra wire was not in the right place and the high cut of the bra gave my boob an overflow; even though my regular bra size is a 34B it did not work for my breasts. All bra size is not equal. Demi bras (low cut or half cups) is made with less material than a full coverage bra with the same size. For instance, if you wear a 34B in a demi bra, a 34A bra in full coverage would give you a better fit than wearing a 34B full coverage.

To find your correct fit in a bra depends on the width of the band. If you are wearing your bra on the tightest hook and it can still move around, that means the bra is too big. Straps that dig into your shoulders, constantly need tightening or falling off are signs that the band is too big. The band supports your breasts and not the straps. When selecting diverse bras, convertible bras or strapless bra you will want a band with the right fit. If you find yourself with these common bra fit problems try using a comfortable bra like this.

Some common bra fit problems and how to fix:

Back Bra Band Riding Up

To avoid your bra from riding up your back the band should have a snug fit. It might feel tight at first but at least it is your correct size. You don’t want to be caught in a crowd trying to haul down your bra when it is riding up; that is totally uncomfortable. This happens to the best of us, so there is nothing to be ashamed of.

Boob Overflow, Quad Boob

If you want to look like a hot mess then leave your boobs to overflow and give you that quad boob effect. This is not attractive! When the top edge of the bra cup is cutting into the breast tissue it shows signs of an ill-fitting bra: the quad boob. It makes the breast appears like it is spilling over the bra. This happens when the bra cup is too small or the style of the bra is not suited with the breast. To avoid this wear a bra that snugs in the band, with center underwires laying flat against your chest. This will prevent the skin from squeezing and creating the quad boob.

Bra Straps Falling Off Shoulders

This can be irritating. Imagine being in the middle of doing something and your bra strap keeps falling off your shoulder. You just have to stop and fix it; makes you just want to tape it down, add safety pins to it because simply tightening the straps won’t help. Bra straps tend to slip if the band is too big. If this is an occurring bra fit problem always check if the strap is snugged enough on your shoulder, place two fingers between your shoulder and the bra strap; if you are unable to pull the strap then it is a good fit.

Side Boob

Have you ever tried on a bra and the breast tissue is peeking through the side? This is one of the many bra fit problems. This happens when the bra is too small in the band or the cup. A fitted bra will encircle and have enough coverage to fit your entire breast in the cup.

When shopping for a bra it is best to find a bra that will cancel out all of the above bra fit problems. For a comfortable bra always check for the correct size band and a snugged strap.
