There are many different types of cosmetic injectables available today, some of which offer quite revolutionary results in anti-aging and treatment of other skin related issues. Read on to find out about each available cosmetic injectable.

Dermal Fillers

One of the first signs of aging is elasticity and volume in the skin starting to fade away. It’s a normal part of getting older, as plumpness is lost from muscle, fat and tissue in the face. The skin over the top of these structures can also become saggy and wrinkly, which can negatively impact appearance and self-confidence. When this process happens, it’s worth considering dermal fillers that can help regain volume. Dermal fillers are a type ofcosmetic injectablethat can add plumpness where it’s needed while also alleviating the look of deep wrinkles.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

This anti-aging procedure works by using a muscle relaxant that’s injected into the treatment area to stop nerve signals and lessen muscle contractions in that area. With the muscles relaxed, the skin looks smoother than before and wrinkles and fine lines are less obvious. The procedure takes 20 minutes, and results can last for 3-4 months. It’s a very convenient example of cosmetic injectables, and is especially relevant if you have concerns with wrinkles.

Underarm Hyperhidrosis

Anti-wrinkle injections can be repurposed to help treat hyperhidrosis, otherwise known as excessive sweating. When the anti-wrinkle injections are injected into the sweat glands, no nerve impulses can get through, which means the sweat glands stop working. This makes these cosmetic injectables suitable for the relief of underarm hyperhidrosis.

Double Chin Injections

Double chin cosmetic injectables are injected under the chin into subcutaneous fat. The injected substance initiates the dissolving of fat, and once this process is complete, the area no longer stores fat.

Skin Hydration Injections

Skin elasticity and smoothness are just a few injections away with skin hydration injections. These cosmetic injectables are recommended across 2-3 sessions, spaced 2-4 weeks apart so that the effect is gradual. Top up the effect as per recommendations from your practitioner every 6 months or so.

Skin Booster Injections

If you have dry, dull skin and fine lines and wrinkles, then a skin booster – otherwise known as a beauty booster – could be the treatment you need. Combining cosmetic injectables with skin needling, skin booster injections help to replenish skin by adding water and nutrients, rejuvenating and restoring elasticity. In this procedure, a serum is injected into the sub-dermal skin layer. The injector gun uses multiple needles to keep treatment time to a minimum.

Thread Lift

A thread lift uses safe medical threads to create contours through the epidermis and dermal skin tissue. The idea is to achieve greater facial tightening.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

One of the newest options for cosmetic injectables, platelet rich plasma (PRP) is used to treat symptoms such as aging and scarring. PRP uses your own blood, which is put in a centrifuge to obtain the platelet containing plasma. These platelets are key to the therapy, as they trigger a degenerative process due to natural growth factors and stem cells.
